REGULAR SERVICING

Servicing your car regularly will make your engine will run efficiently there will be fewer problems with fuel consumption and of course it’s good for the environment.

Again manufacturers set you a guide line when you should service your car but the general rule would be 6,000 miles or 6 months for a minor service 12,000 or one year for a full service.

Minor service would include a general safety check on your car & an oil change. A full service would include a safety check.

  • On a diesel you would change Air, Fuel & Oil Filter.
  • On a petrol car it would be Air, Oil Filters & Oil as well as spark plugs.

MOT & SERVICING

Some people can get confused between a service & a MOT. Car servicing is to help the running of your engine. Whilst getting your car ready for MOT is so that is safe on the road.

You need to give us 2 -3 weeks notice to check your car over for MOT as if it needs brakes replaced they take a while to bed in and then we need to take it to brake test to make sure it passes the same test that the MOT centre puts it through.

BRAKES

Brakes are pretty much the most important safety device on your car. If you’ve even partially lost your brakes in the past, you’ll remember the change of underwear that followed. Inspecting your brakes twice a year for wear and damage can protect you and your passengers while saving you money by catching any damage before it becomes too costly.
